The villa & your group
Do we rent the entire villa?
Yes. The villa is rented exclusively as one entire property for your group. Individual bedrooms cannot be booked.
How many guests and bedrooms are there?
The villa has eight bedrooms and accommodates up to 20 guests. Please provide the exact number of adults and children when enquiring.
How large are the house and grounds?
The villa has approximately 350 m² of living space and stands within approximately 6,600 m² of private grounds. All areas are approximate.
Can I see the bedroom layout and floor plans?
Detailed floor plans are available only upon request. Contact lakevillalotus@gmail.com to discuss your room allocation and group requirements. They are not published for download on this website.
Which views can we enjoy?
The property overlooks Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains, including Pilatus, Rigi and Bürgenstock. Views vary by room and position within the estate.
Booking & payments
Where do I find current prices and availability?
Use the Book your stay link to our Lodgify booking website. Lodgify manages current rates, availability and booking conditions. This website does not publish fixed prices or a separate availability calendar.
What is the minimum stay?
During the peak summer season, a seven-night minimum stay generally applies. Check the conditions for your chosen dates in Lodgify; the current booking conditions take precedence.
Where are bookings and payments handled?
Villa reservations and payments are handled through Lodgify. This website does not collect or store payment-card details. Boat experiences are arranged separately through our boat service.
What are the cancellation, deposit and payment terms?
Read the terms displayed for your specific reservation in Lodgify before confirming. If any detail is unclear, contact us for written clarification. No general cancellation or deposit promise is made on this page.
Arrival & transport
When can we check in?
Check-in is from 15:00 to 20:00. Please arrange an arrival outside this window with us in advance and confirm your arrival arrangements before travelling.
Is reception available around the clock?
No. Lake Villa Lotus is a private holiday villa and does not provide a 24-hour reception service. Contact us in advance about late arrivals or special assistance.
What is the check-out time?
Please confirm the check-out time in your reservation documents or directly with us. We do not publish an unconfirmed check-out time here.
What address should I use for arrival?

How do we arrive by public transport?
From Lucerne railway station take bus 21 to Stutz, approximately 16 minutes. When arriving from the city centre, the stop is approximately 200 metres from the villa entrance. Consult the current timetable for your journey.
How far is Lucerne railway station?
Lucerne main station and port are approximately 3.3 km away: about 7 minutes by car, 16 minutes by bus or 45 minutes on foot. These are indicative journey times.
How far is Zurich Airport?
Zurich Airport is approximately 74 km away. Check a current route planner for travel times and connections.
Is parking available?
Parking is available. Please confirm the number of vehicles, access arrangements and any particular vehicle requirements with us before arrival.
Facilities & house information
Is there a private beach and lake access?
Yes. The estate has a private beach and direct access to Lake Lucerne, together with a historic boathouse.
What swimming pool does the villa have?
A private seasonal outdoor pool, approximately 10 × 4 metres. The pool is unheated. Please confirm its operating dates for your stay.
Is there a hot tub?
An outdoor hot tub is subject to availability. Please request confirmation for your dates; it is not guaranteed solely by the presence of photographs or older guest reviews.
Can we cook at the villa?
Yes. A fully equipped kitchen is available for self-catering, with living and dining spaces and outdoor terraces for time together.
Is breakfast offered?
No. Breakfast is no longer offered. Historical hotel articles or older reviews may describe a previous service; they do not describe the current villa rental.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Wi-Fi is listed among the villa amenities. Contact us before booking if you need a particular connection speed or setup; no minimum bandwidth is promised here.
Are children welcome?
Children are welcome. Please tell us the ages of children in your group and confirm any specific equipment or supervision needs directly with us.
Are pets and smoking allowed?
Pets and smoking are not allowed. Check the conditions attached to your reservation and contact us about any specific questions.
Is the villa suitable for a guest with reduced mobility?
Please discuss individual access needs with us before booking. We have not confirmed step-free routes, doorway widths, lift access or adapted bathrooms on this website. Request the floor plans and specific access details rather than assuming full accessibility.

Can we arrange a private chef or catering?
Private chef and catering services can be requested. Please provide your dates, group size and dietary requirements so that arrangements and charges can be confirmed separately.
Can additional cleaning or laundry be arranged?
Additional housekeeping and laundry services can be requested. Contact us to confirm availability, scope and charges for your stay.
Which languages do the hosts speak?
We speak English, German / Swiss German, Italian, French, Dutch and Spanish. Please let us know your preferred language when contacting us.
Can we request a Lucerne guest card?
A Lucerne guest card can be requested. Ask us to confirm current eligibility, benefits and issuing arrangements for your stay.
Our classic boat service
Do you operate your own classic boat service?
Yes. Swiss Classic Boats is our own boat experience service, promoted alongside Lake Villa Lotus. We offer classic wooden boat experiences on Lake Lucerne, arranged separately from the villa reservation.
Which classic boats can we enquire about?
Our boats are the 1939 Chris-Craft Runabout and the 1967 Pedrazzini Cavallino de Luxe. Tell us which boat you prefer when enquiring; the boat and date must be confirmed.
How do we book a boat experience?
Visit swissclassicboats.com or email swissclassicboats@gmail.com. Send your preferred date, boat, guest count, duration and pick-up location, and say whether you are staying at Lake Villa Lotus.
Can we request a captain or self-drive rental?
Swiss Classic Boats advertises both chartered and self-drive options. A licence is required for self-driving. Eligibility, boat availability, insurance and rental conditions must be confirmed directly with the boat service.
Are boat trips included in the villa price?
Boat experiences are separately arranged; do not assume they are included in the villa rate. Request a quote for your group and preferred itinerary.
Can we depart from the villa or arrange a private transfer?
Private boat arrangements from the villa shores / boathouse can be requested. Please confirm the exact pick-up point, route and feasibility with our boat service for your chosen date.
How many people can each boat carry, and what does it cost?
The boat service currently lists up to 5 people for the Chris-Craft and up to 6 for the Pedrazzini. Confirm the permitted count for your trip, including whether the captain counts towards this limit, and request a current quote. Prices, duration and departure time are confirmed separately.
What happens if lake or weather conditions change?
Confirm weather, safety, rescheduling and cancellation arrangements with Swiss Classic Boats before booking. An enquiry is not a confirmed departure.
Lucerne & the mountains
Which mountains can we visit?
Published driving estimates to mountain access regions are: Pilatus 12 minutes / 6 km; Titlis–Engelberg 40 minutes / 35 km; Rigi 50 minutes / 25 km; Bürgenstock 40 minutes / 27 km; Jungfrau region 90 minutes / 87 km. Cable car and railway journeys are additional; these are not live routes.
Can mountain excursions start with a boat journey?
Boat connections from Lucerne can form part of a journey to Pilatus, Rigi or Bürgenstock. Public boat services and onward transport have their own timetables. Private boat arrangements can be requested from our service.
